Fishfarmers can protect their stocks from disease outbreaks by practicing good aquaculture management. This was the message of the International workshop on fish health management held 1-2 March 2012 in Iloilo City, Philippines.

On 6 March, SEAFDEC/AQD conducted a workshop on Small-scale aquaculture and livelihood ventures in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines. Around 40 participants from the academe, LGU, and private sector attended the workshop

AQD’s projects under the Government of Japan Trust Fund (GOJ-TF) were evaluated during the Annual progress meeting held 8-9 February in Tigbauan, Iloilo.

Featuring successful technology and new development on Penaeus monodon and P. vannamei culture are the main focus of the Philippine Shrimp Congress that will be held 9-11 May 2012 at the La Planta Hotel, Bacolod. SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department is one of the organizers.
