Be a part of the 8th Philippine Shrimp Congress

SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department invites shrimp farmers to take part on the 8th Philippine shrimp congress scheduled 9-11 May 2012 at the La Planta Hotel, Bacolod City. The congress is organized by Negros Prawn Producers Marketing Cooperative Inc in cooperation with Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Department of Science and Technology, SEAFDEC/AQD, and University of the Philippines Visayas.

The main focus of this biannual event is the successful technology and new development on Penaeus monodon and P. vannamei cultures from around the region. The congress will also highlight marketing, value adding opportunities, crop insurance and financing with invited foreign resource speakers. This 3-day congress will be attended by local and foreign experts in grow-out farming, hatchery operations, feed milling, processing/exporting, and input supplies.
