Three decades’ worth of research on fish feed ingredients in Southeast Asia will be hosted in a soon-to-be-launched online database that aims to reduce the aquaculture industry’s reliance on fish-derived meals and oils, as well as significantly lower the cost of feeds.

SEAFDEC/AQD organized the international training, with funding support from the Government of Japan Trust Fund (GOJ-TF), to enable Southeast Asian countries to initiate resource enhancement activities or improve their current programs.

A 15-day training course on “Sandfish Seed Production, Nursery, and Management” held from April 5 to April 20, 2018, in Tigbauan, Iloilo.

SEAFDEC/AQD gathered 20 high school science teachers to encourage them to properly integrate the laboratory techniques in the design of their students’ research projects in a technical seminar
