SEAFDEC/AQD signed an agreement with the University of the Philippines Diliman-Institute of Biology (UPD-IB) for a three-year research collaboration. The agreement is specific to the project on the development of molecular marker for milkfish broodstock management implemented under the research program “Genetics for sustainable milkfish aquaculture”. The project is funded by DOST (Department of Science and Technology) through the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD). AQD scientists Dr. Ma. Rowena Eguia and Dr. Evelyn Grace Ayson are working with Prof. Zubaida Basiao of UPD-IB in implementing the project.
