SEAFDEC/AQD is a playground of fun-filled and exciting activities to celebrate its 42nd anniversary from 6 to 8 July 2015 at its Tigbauan Main Station.
The activities include a kick-off program where the entire AQD community came together for the flag-raising ceremony then a short program, and an exclusive Zumba class.
The next day is all about giving-back. The AQD community organized a medical mission that benefited a total of 114 (61 adults & 53 children) residents of the neighboring barangays. Free medicines and supplements were also provided to them. There’s a bloodletting activity with the Philippine Red Cross-Iloilo where 30 staff were bloodlet. Free eye examinations were offered to the AQD staff, as well.
AQD also organized an open house for those who want to explore what we have to offer. Students from 11 schools learned more about aquaculture as they visited AQD’s laboratories and facilities. Simultaneously, AQD staff organized a food fair where they showcased food and refreshments inspired by delicacies of different countries. Aside from that, there have been other engaging activities including parlor games and bingo.
No doubt that it is more fun in SEAFDEC/AQD!
