Hats off for AQD

SEAFDEC/AQD received a Scroll of Honor from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Western Visayas Regional Blood Center for the four consecutive years of bloodletting by its staff. The award was given during the 16th Blood Donors’ Recognition and Awarding Ceremony on 21 July 2014 at Iloilo City.

The event, attended by members of the academe and government & private sectors, is part of the World Blood Donors Month celebration wherein PRC acknowledges the heroism of individuals and groups responding to the unending need of blood donors.

AQD (represented by AQD nurse Ms. Dorfra Tupas) also participated in “hat design contest” during the event. The hat designed by AQD senior AV technician Mr. Isidro Tendencia bagged 2nd place.
