Vacancy: SR. RESEARCH TECHNICIAN
Assignment: Breeding and Seed Production Section, Research Division in Tigbauan, Iloilo
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries, Biology, Aquaculture or other related courses
Preferably:
- Licensed Fisheries Professional or holder of relevant certifications in fisheries and aquaculture;
- With good scholastic records
- With at least one (1) year of experience in aquaculture, fisheries, or research-related work, preferably involving experimental design and implementation, data collection, recording, and analysis;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software and other computer-related applications
- With excellent verbal and written communication skills
- With a strong sense of initiative and analytical problem-solving ability
- With a passion for research, good interpersonal relationship skills, and work ethics
Summary of duties to be performed:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of experimental facilities, equipment, materials, and supplies required for research activities; implement and monitor research experiments and project activities; collect and encode experimental data; maintain experimental set-ups; assist in the analysis and interpretation of research results; prepare reports and other project-related documents; and perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned in support of the project.
