NEW BOOK: Where Sea Turtles Meet People and Fisheries

This book provides a photographic record and permanent database of the sea turtles stranded, captured, and documented around Panay and Guimaras, Philippines in 2000–2016. SEAFDEC FishWorld worked with municipal fishers, government officers, student-interns, and community leaders to rescue, care for, study, tag, release, and protect sea turtles. Copies of the book have been distributed to FishWorld cooperators, neighboring schools, government and university libraries, sea turtle researchers and conservationists, and Friends of the Pawikan. If interested in the book, send a message to dorisbagarinao@gmail.com and describe your current affiliation or job and how the sea turtle book will be useful to you.
