AQD joins Panaad Festival in Bacolod City

To reach out to its stakeholders, SEAFDEC/AQD was in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines to join the “20th Panaad sa Negros Festival also dubbed as the “Festival of all festivals” that was held 8-14 April. This year’s festival was organized by the provincial government of Negros Occidental to promote organic agriculture as well as the history, culture, arts, tourism, commerce and trade of 32 cities and municipalities of Negros.

During the opening of the exhibit AQD researcher Ms. Shelah Mae Buen-Ursua and technical assistant Mr. Raffy Barrido showcases hatchery-reared seahorses and abalones at the Sagay City pavilion aquarium. They also orient the visitors about AQD’s stock enhancement project in abalone and seahorse at Sagay Marine Reserve. AQD also gave out free flyers and sold its publications.
