AQD Chief reaches out to junior staff

By Development Communication Section
“The future of AQD is in your hands,” SEAFDEC/AQD Chief Dr. Felix Ayson told AQD’s junior staff at the 6 March meeting at AQD’s Tigbauan Main Station in Iloilo. “A lot of our researchers are retiring in the next five years, and we are encouraging you to pursue graduate studies. Work hard and learn the craft to prepare yourselves to take the place of our retirees.”

With the agreement signed between AQD and University of the Philippines Visayas, AQD senior staff will be teaching (as adjunct professors) at UPV, and this will enable the junior staff to tap their supervisors as their thesis advisers and to work on research topics related to the project they are assisting in at AQD.

“If you love AQD, do your share,” concluded Dr. Ayson.

AQD Chief Dr. Felix Ayson asks the junior staff about concerns that hinder them in pursuing graduate studies; the junior staff with the Chief, research head Dr. RM Coloso and training & information head Dr. EGDJ Ayson
