be hosted at AQD's Tigbauan Main Station, an easy reach to/from Iloilo
City; about a 30-minute, 25-kilometer car ride through the southern
Antique-Iloilo highway

We have:
- a 120-person capacity,
air-conditioned conference hall
- three adjoining or adjacent
lecture/class rooms (air-conditioned too) and a kitchen-food serving
room
- remote internet connection in the
main conference hall (available on request)
- multimedia projector/s, large
screen/s, sound & sound recording system
- logistical support ~ reproduction of
conference materials (hardcopy and CD-Rom); phone, fax, email; food
catering by the AQD Cafeteria; car transport and a big parking lot;
power generator/s
- up to 54 guests can be accommodated
comfortably in 2 guest houses (4 rooms each house, single or double
occupancy) and 20 studio apartments (double occupancy); spillover
guests can book in two nearby resorts
- medical clinic within the station,
and a hospital in the nearest town of Guimbal
- 24-hour security

While at AQD, conference participants may

- read through the AQD Library
collection ~ reputed to be the best aquaculture collection in ASEAN
- talk to AQD experts and see the
broodstock/hatchery facilities and feedmill for marine fish, shrimp,
mudcrab, abalone, among others
- arrange visits to the AQD stations
in Dumangas (brackishwater ponds and mangrove-friendly aquaculture),
Igang (marine cages) and Binangonan (freshwater lake-based
facilities); and some project sites on grow-out culture and hatchery
- visit the analytical and biotech
laboratories ~ Laboratory Facilities for Advanced Aquaculture
Technologies
- enjoy the tennis courts, basketball
court, football field; there is also a social hall and snack bars
- see the privately-run elementary
school ~ Kinaadman Foundation Elementary School, Inc ~ within the
station
- wonder at FishWorld, the
museum-aquarium-visitor center
