Analytical services

SEAFDEC/AQD offers disease diagnostic services, with viral diseases determined by PCR. There are also several laboratory tests that you can avail of:

  • feeds, feed ingredients and others (proximate analysis, fatty acid profile)
  • water (pH, alkalinity, chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, nitrite, phosphate, total hardness, total suspended solids)
  • soil (pH, organic matter, available iron / phosphorus / sulfur, lime requirement)
  • microbes (standard aerobic plate count or total viable count; coliform count, determination of Salmonella / Shigella / Staphylococcus aureus / Escherichia coli; yeast / mold count; water potability)
